Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on a flat note. Trends on GIFT Nifty indicate a flat start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 5 points or 0.02 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 26,410.50 level.
Meanwhile, Asian markets were mixed on Friday as US stock futures hovered near the flatline during the Thanksgiving holiday, with the Nasdaq Composite on course to snap its seven-month winning run.
On Wall Street, US markets were shut on Thursday for Thanksgiving and will operate a shortened session on Friday.
Crude oil prices rose mildly as sentiment was swayed by the likelihood of a peace deal to end the war in Ukraine and renewed concerns about the oversupply situation.
On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 85720.38 up by 110.87 points or by 0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26215.55 up by 10.25 points or by 0.04 %.
