Indices trade flat; oil & gas drag

The benchmark indices were trading with meagre gains in Friday’s noon deals. BSE Midcap and smallcap indices are trading flat. On the sectoral front, media, auto, metal up 0.5-1%, while power, oil & gas, telecom down 0.3% each.



Meanwhile, Asian stocks turned in a mixed performance on Friday as China industrial profits data disappointed and China Vanke proposed to delay repayment of an onshore bond, rekindling worries about China's property market.



Among key stocks, Shares of Rico Auto Industries hit a 52-week high of ₹120.40, surging 13 per cent on the BSE in Friday’s intra-day trade amid heavy volumes.



Among others, Tanfac Industries shares zoomed up to 7.23 per cent to hit an intraday high of ₹4,184.10 per share.



At 14:22 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85713.76 down by -6.62 points or by -0.01 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26205.25 down by -10.3 points or by -0.04 %.



The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 85969.89 and intraday low of 85577.82 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26280.75 and intraday low of 26172.40.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3752.00,+1.91%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1828.00,+1.02%), State Bank of India (Rs. 982.55,+1.00%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2127.35,+0.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1521.95,+0.79%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 270.00,-1.35%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1278.70,-0.67%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4059.90,-0.54%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2104.85,-0.52%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 301.20,-0.48%), among others.



Among the sectors BSE Auto index was at 61724.65 up by 314.87 points or by 0.51%. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3750.95,+1.89%), Exide Industries Ltd. (Rs. 373.75,+1.48%), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (Rs. 117.30,+1.03%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 6190.00,+0.66%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (Rs. 7038.80,+0.58%),.



Whereas, BSE Oil&Gas index was at 28219.3 down by -263.43 points or by -0.92%. GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 175.55,-4.49%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 359.50,-1.49%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 457.15,-1.36%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 161.80,-1.19%), Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 412.05,-1.19%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4389 , shares advanced were 2007 while 2181 shares declined and 201 were unchanged.
