Sensex up 95 points; IT, TECK support

Domestic bourses gained strength during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including IndusInd Bank Ltd.Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Infosys Ltd.Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.among others.



At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85202.17 up by 95.36 points or by 0.11 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26001 up by 15 points or by 0.06 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85487.21 and intraday low of 84949.98 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26098.25 and intraday low of 25938.95



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 862.00,+1.84%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 3229.15,+1.55%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1563.65,+1.42%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1594.95,+1.05%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1821.20,+0.86%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2130.50,-0.70%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 15976.85,-0.66%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 994.70,-0.57%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 296.40,-0.49%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1385.00,-0.46%), among others.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4408 , shares advanced were 1797 while 2426 shares declined and 185 were unchanged.
