Stock markets in India were trading higher on Friday, gaining strength from a global market rally, along with hopes that an India-US trade deal could be finalised soon.
At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85222.49 up by 404.36 points or by 0.48 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26022.95 up by 124.4 points or by 0.48 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 85310.83 and intraday low of 84956.74 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26056.3 and intraday low of 25938.45
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 171.60,+3.16%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 297.25,+2.11%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11698.05,+2.01%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4078.45,+1.83%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1236.80,+1.81%), among others.
