Mid-Session: Sensex, Nifty flat; auto, pharma shares fall

Stock markets were trading lower as weak global market mood weighed on the sentiment.



At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85198.37 down by -69.29 points or by -0.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26012.4 down by -34.55 points or by -0.13 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85247.87 and intraday low of 84840.32 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26029.95 and intraday low of 25904.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2288.95,+1.23%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1684.60,+0.73%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2780.55,+0.55%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 172.70,+0.47%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1604.30,+0.35%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3623.90,-1.50%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2072.05,-0.67%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 16414.60,-0.64%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 262.10,-0.57%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3860.40,-0.52%), among others.



CDS index was at 60183.05 up by 249.05 points or by 0.42%. Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. (Rs. 13731.00,+2.60%), Whirlpool of India Ltd. (Rs. 942.55,+1.84%), Kalyan Jewellers India Ltd. (Rs. 485.50,+1.28%), Supreme Industries Ltd. (Rs. 3255.55,+0.97%), Blue Star Ltd. (Rs. 1807.65,+0.57%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4426 , shares advanced were 2186 while 2031 shares declined and 209 were unchanged.
