Sensex down 432 points; NSE Nifty at 25904.85

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Tuesday as persistent foreign fund outflows and weak global market trends dented investors' sentiment.



At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84780.7 down by -432.66 points or by -0.51 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25904.85 down by -122.45 points or by -0.47 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85059.96 and intraday low of 84716.7 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25980.75 and intraday low of 25879.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1256.35,+1.14%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2093.50,+1.04%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 404.50,+0.55%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3886.60,+0.54%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2794.55,+0.52%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 286.45,-3.99%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1234.00,-3.91%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1658.60,-1.52%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 170.70,-1.22%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1589.55,-1.09%), among others.

FMCG index was at 20246.36 up by 111.21 points or by 0.55%. Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd. (Rs. 136.05,+3.50%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. (Rs. 368.50,+3.32%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd. (Rs. 393.95,+2.54%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (Rs. 1190.00,+2.09%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd. (Rs. 256.05,+2.07%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3962 , shares advanced were 1596 while 2130 shares declined and 236 were unchanged.
