Mid-Session: Sensex up 430 points; RIL, L&T top gainers

Domestic bourses continued to trade higher during the noon trading session supported by buying in index heavyweights including Reliance Industries Ltd, Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. Asian Paints Ltd.among others.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 84912.04 up by 430.23 points or by 0.51 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25951.55 up by 136 points or by 0.53 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85067.5 and intraday low of 84734.96 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25979.25 and intraday low of 25880.45.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1568.50,+1.56%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 4087.05,+1.37%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 261.35,+1.34%), Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (Rs. 350.50,+1.33%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2789.90,+1.09%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1640.50,-1.26%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 2088.00,-0.19%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1355.55,-0.10%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1745.00,-0.02%), among others.



Auto index was at 61398.13 up by 616.1 points or by 1.01%. Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (Rs. 120.05,+2.43%), Apollo Tyres Ltd. (Rs. 506.85,+2.22%), TVS Motor Company Ltd. (Rs. 3657.20,+1.92%), UNO Minda Ltd. (Rs. 1246.45,+1.76%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 8980.65,+1.72%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4279 , shares advanced were 2430 while 1631 shares declined and 218 were unchanged.
