Sensex, Nifty back in green; Maruti Suzuki, HUL top gainers

Equity benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty trimmed early losses and bounced back in green during the morning deals.

At 10:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 85818.95 up by 56.94 points or by 0.07 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26352.15 up by 23.6 points or by 0.09 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 85883.5 and intraday low of 85516.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 26373.2 and intraday low of 26263.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 17363.90,+2.38%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2392.40,+1.90%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1302.80,+1.81%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2813.65,+1.49%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1374.60,+1.46%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1599.35,-2.52%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1601.80,-2.32%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 988.50,-1.27%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1592.50,-1.24%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 281.00,-1.11%), among others.



Realty index was at 7059.95 up by 96.01 points or by 1.38%. Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 59.00,+3.91%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1124.10,+3.47%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 1542.00,+3.34%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 707.35,+1.34%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2092.30,+1.14%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4228 , shares advanced were 1876 while 2113 shares declined and 239 were unchanged.
