Mid-Session: Sensex plunges 632 points; NSE Nifty at 25718.65

Domestic bourses continued to hover in red during the noon trading session weighed down by selling in index heavyweights including ICICI Bank, NTPC Ltd, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone among others.



At 12:46 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83548.8 down by -632.16 points or by -0.75 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25718.65 down by -158.2 points or by -0.61 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 84406.22 and intraday low of 83517.74 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25940.6 and intraday low of 25713.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2837.10,+1.81%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 287.80,+1.52%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1663.70,+0.94%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1002.05,+0.42%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1584.00,+0.41%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1406.50,-2.01%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 338.10,-1.74%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1441.05,-1.61%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 11877.50,-1.51%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1737.75,-1.35%), among others.
