India’s benchmark equity indices ended higher after a volatile session on Tuesday, supported by improved investor sentiment following the announcement of a bilateral trade agreement between India and the European Union (EU).
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 81857.48 up by 319.78 points or by 0.39 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25175.4 up by 126.75 points or by 0.51 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 82084.92 and intraday low of 81088.59 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25246.65 and intraday low of 24932.55
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1366.00,+4.47%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1314.45,+4.31%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 192.50,+2.64%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1745.25,+2.58%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 345.15,+2.48%), among others.
