Sensex up 200 points; NSE Nifty at 25347.15

Stock market benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty fluctuated in a narrow range on Sunday ahead of the Budget 2026-27 presentation.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82478.79 up by 209.01 points or by 0.25 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25347.15 up by 26.5 points or by 0.1 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 82511.52 and intraday low of 82119.31 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25361.2 and intraday low of 25252.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 459.15,+2.26%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 260.70,+1.70%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3480.30,+1.40%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1614.85,+1.24%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3982.35,+1.24%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1616.00,-1.49%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 3935.00,-1.07%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 192.00,-0.57%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1943.00,-0.53%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 320.85,-0.42%), among others.

CGS index was at 67330.3 up by 663.57 points or by 1%. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 619.00,+6.04%), Data Patterns (India) Ltd. (Rs. 2792.10,+4.54%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 3573.95,+2.81%), Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. (Rs. 2638.00,+2.53%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 459.15,+2.26%),.



Metal index was at 38125.52 down by -719.65 points or by -1.85%. Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Rs. 574.00,-8.72%), National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Rs. 357.55,-7.06%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 925.30,-3.82%), Vedanta Ltd. (Rs. 661.70,-3.08%), Jindal Stainless Ltd. (Rs. 804.00,-2.34%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3823 , shares advanced were 2162 while 1460 shares declined and 201 were unchanged.
