Indian equities were subdued on Wednesday, with IT stocks coming under heavy selling pressure on concerns over artificial intelligence impacting the IT sector's business model. The broader markets traded mostly flat, with the Nifty Midcap 100 index showing a marginal loss of 0.03 per cent, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 index was up by 0.04 per cent.
Among shares, Easy Trip Planners shares zoomed 11.2 per cent on BSE, logging an intra-day high at ₹10.57 per share.
Meanwhile, Infosys lost 2.4 percent after introducing its AI-first value framework to help enterprises unlock AI value at scale. Peers TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies were down 1-2 percent.
At 10:37 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 83284.21 down by -166.75 points or by -0.2 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25670.3 down by -55.1 points or by -0.21 %.
The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 83603.56 and intraday low of 83163.62 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25759.75 and intraday low of 25645.60.
The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Kwality Wall's (India) Ltd. (Rs. 28.80,+2.71%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 208.35,+2.58%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2062.80,+0.89%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 327.40,+0.65%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 370.00,+0.45%), among others.
On the flip side Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1359.25,-2.30%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1490.00,-2.24%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1453.55,-1.96%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1541.50,-1.60%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 277.60,-1.42%), were among top losers on the BSE.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3987 , shares advanced were 2031 while 1762 shares declined and 194 were unchanged.
