Sensex up 209 points, Nifty at 23388; IT stocks decline

The Indian benchmark indices were trading higher supported by buying in index heavyweights including Eternal Ltd.Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.Tata Steel Ltd.Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.and InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. among others.



At 9:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75712.56 up by 209.71 points or by 0.28 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23388.8 down by -20 points or by -0.09 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75833.36 and intraday low of 75324.73 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23493.2 and intraday low of 23346.6



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 228.55,+2.93%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3102.50,+2.20%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 191.25,+2.19%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 13020.00,+2.09%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4283.95,+1.46%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1228.35,-1.70%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2373.50,-1.45%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1311.20,-1.32%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1323.60,-1.09%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4065.95,-0.69%), among others.



Auto index was at 55319.03 up by 780.36 points or by 1.43%. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3113.00,+2.55%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 13029.85,+2.17%), Exide Industries Ltd. (Rs. 301.45,+2.15%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 9192.00,+1.25%), Bharat Forge Ltd. (Rs. 1716.75,+1.17%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3623 , shares advanced were 2123 while 1348 shares declined and 152 were unchanged.
