Indian benchmark indices pared losses from the day's low after Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that continuous efforts are being made to ensure energy supply from the Strait of Hormuz.
At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73075.09 down by -1457.87 points or by -1.96 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22618.7 down by -495.8 points or by -2.14 %.
