The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ended sharply lower on Monday, mirroring weak global cues as the West Asia conflict entered its fourth week, driving crude oil prices higher. Continued foreign fund outflows further dampened investor sentiment.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 72696.39 down by -1836.57 points or by -2.46 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22512.65 down by -601.85 points or by -2.6 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 73732.58 and intraday low of 72558.44 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22851.7 and intraday low of 22471.25
