Mid-Session: Sensex off day's low; Nifty near 22,300

Indian benchmark indices were trading sharply down as the traders turned wary after US President Donald Trump’s address.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 72056.33 down by -1077.99 points or by -1.47 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22294.5 down by -384.9 points or by -1.7 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 72262.05 and intraday low of 71545.81 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22394.65 and intraday low of 22182.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1365.15,+0.76%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1408.30,+0.30%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 292.00,+0.21%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2411.80,+0.15%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 224.60,-5.11%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2156.00,-3.06%), State Bank of India (Rs. 989.10,-2.83%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4072.00,-2.60%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 355.45,-2.58%), among others.



IT index was at 28651.35 up by 54.5 points or by 0.19%. Latent View Analytics Ltd. (Rs. 297.65,+14.20%), Ksolves India Ltd. (Rs. 290.60,+8.35%), VL E-Governance & IT Solutions Ltd.
