Sensex trim losses; Nifty above 22,600

Indian benchmark indices pared most losses from the day's lows in the afternoon trade as IT stocks supported.



At 14:50 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73099.43 down by -34.89 points or by -0.05 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22630.85 down by -48.55 points or by -0.21 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 73255.52 and intraday low of 71545.81 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22706.65 and intraday low of 22182.55



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1409.10,+4.00%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1440.00,+2.56%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2453.60,+1.88%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1299.00,+1.78%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 824.40,+0.88%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 230.50,-2.62%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2165.75,-2.62%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1696.20,-1.87%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 358.60,-1.71%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1349.40,-1.42%), among others.



IT index was at 29297.08 up by 700.23 points or by 2.45%. Latent View Analytics Ltd. (Rs. 309.85,+18.88%), VL E-Governance & IT Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 10.43,+9.91%), Vakrangee Ltd. (Rs. 5.88,+8.69%), Birlasoft Ltd. (Rs. 372.50,+6.55%), Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Ltd. (Rs. 230.25,+6.06%),.
