Sensex down 160 points; M&M, IndiGo top losers

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower on Tuesday, pressured by rising crude oil prices amid escalating uncertainty around the West Asia conflict, which dampened investor sentiment. Continued foreign fund outflows further weighed on the market mood.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 73946.71 down by -160.14 points or by -0.22 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22926.45 down by -41.8 points or by -0.18 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74073.71 and intraday low of 73282.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22966.6 and intraday low of 22719.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1431.40,+2.06%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2504.50,+1.25%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1321.50,+1.18%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1812.00,+1.09%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1711.50,+1.02%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2983.75,-1.25%), InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4256.40,-1.23%), Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 4192.75,-1.22%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1021.15,-1.11%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1233.90,-0.92%), among others.



Realty index was at 5421.83 up by 84.61 points or by 1.59%. Embassy Developments Ltd. (Rs. 47.81,+4.98%), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (Rs. 1227.80,+3.68%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 1560.00,+2.58%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1584.50,+1.89%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 721.75,+1.38%),.
