Mid-Session: Sensex off day's low, trades flat around 74,000; Nifty at 22930

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading in a narrow range as traders continued to monitor the developing situation in the Middle East.



At 12:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74003.99 down by -102.86 points or by -0.14 % and then NSE Nifty was at 22929.95 down by -38.3 points or by -0.17 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74186.43 and intraday low of 73282.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 22991.7 and intraday low of 22719.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1439.70,+2.65%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2532.00,+2.36%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1480.40,+2.07%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1326.30,+1.54%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1719.20,+1.48%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4250.80,-1.36%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 2981.00,-1.35%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1019.80,-1.24%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1231.50,-1.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1373.70,-1.03%), among others.



IT index was at 30033.67 up by 573.62 points or by 1.95%. Digitide Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 90.41,+10.49%), Excelsoft Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 80.60,+5.40%), eMudhra Ltd. (Rs. 444.50,+5.37%), VL E-Governance & IT Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 11.98,+5.00%), Magellanic Cloud Ltd. (Rs. 23.29,+4.96%),.



Bankex index was at 58658.05 down by -526.2 points or by -0.89%. Union Bank of India (Rs. 168.75,-3.07%), Punjab National Bank (Rs. 104.20,-2.21%), Bank of Baroda (Rs. 255.65,-1.64%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1019.80,-1.24%), Canara Bank (Rs. 128.85,-1.23%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4340 , shares advanced were 2622 while 1528 shares declined and 190 were unchanged.
