Sensex gains 130 points; HCL Tech, TCS top gainers

Indian benchmark indices were trading higher during the noon trading session supported by buying seen in index heavyweights including HCL Technologies Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Infosys Ltd. and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. among others.



At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 74237.3 up by 130.45 points or by 0.18 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23015.55 up by 47.3 points or by 0.21 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 74405.23 and intraday low of 73282.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23063.55 and intraday low of 22719.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1441.20,+2.76%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (Rs. 2531.40,+2.34%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1330.20,+1.84%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1475.30,+1.72%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1822.05,+1.65%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4249.00,-1.40%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1023.50,-0.89%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1377.10,-0.79%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1295.50,-0.71%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 230.75,-0.65%), among others.



IT index was at 30045.89 up by 585.84 points or by 1.99%. Digitide Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 89.41,+9.26%), Ramco Systems Ltd. (Rs. 415.55,+8.08%), eMudhra Ltd. (Rs. 451.50,+7.03%), Excelsoft Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 81.76,+6.92%), VL E-Governance & IT Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 11.98,+5.00%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4478 , shares advanced were 2701 while 1600 shares declined and 177 were unchanged.
