Mid-Session: Sensex, Nifty marginally down; RIL, M&M top gainers

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty recovered partially from their intraday lows and moved within a limited range on Wednesday, as investors remained cautious over rising uncertainty surrounding the US-Iran situation.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75141.71 down by -59.14 points or by -0.08 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23590.55 down by -27.45 points or by -0.12 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75244.64 and intraday low of 74529.41 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23640.25 and intraday low of 23397.3



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1354.30,+2.42%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3130.55,+1.28%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1759.50,+0.55%), Trent Ltd. (Rs. 4087.30,+0.47%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2612.00,+0.45%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 410.65,-2.95%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 204.70,-2.20%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1448.00,-1.29%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 307.10,-1.03%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 244.55,-1.01%), among others.



Power index was at 8027.44 up by 93.17 points or by 1.17%. GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 4690.60,+6.97%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3374.40,+6.64%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 35325.00,+5.83%), CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 846.30,+3.31%), ABB India Ltd. (Rs. 6522.50,+3.11%),.



FMCG index was at 18608.76 down by -144.82 points or by -0.77%. KSE Ltd. (Rs. 193.45,-6.00%), Godfrey Phillips India Ltd. (Rs. 2251.90,-3.79%), DOMS Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2266.90,-2.92%), GRM Overseas Ltd. (Rs. 164.10,-2.78%), Gokul Agro Resources Ltd. (Rs. 230.60,-2.66%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4257 , shares advanced were 1922 while 2104 shares declined and 231 were unchanged.
