Stock markets rally amid positive trend in global peers, easing oil prices

Indian benchmark indices were trading higher on Thursday, supported by softer crude oil prices and strong gains across global markets amid rising optimism that tensions in West Asia may ease in the near term.



At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75496.35 up by 177.96 points or by 0.24 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23736.35 up by 77.35 points or by 0.33 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75945.79 and intraday low of 75459.59 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23859.9 and intraday low of 23728.05



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4409.95,+3.44%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 422.15,+2.12%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 209.35,+1.11%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 3949.80,+0.96%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2619.85,+0.80%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 911.45,-1.34%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1185.15,-0.97%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1429.95,-0.68%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2195.60,-0.61%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1352.00,-0.57%), among others.



CGS index was at 78339.38 up by 1060.9 points or by 1.37%. Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 32830.00,+8.81%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3656.80,+5.71%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 3109.05,+3.58%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 4847.00,+3.29%), Thermax Ltd. (Rs. 4547.50,+2.99%),.



_IT index was at 28232.84 down by -73.98 points or by -0.26%. Silver Touch Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 144.10,-3.97%), Innovana Thinklabs Ltd. (Rs. 367.55,-3.76%), Control Print Ltd. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4036 , shares advanced were 2696 while 1114 shares declined and 226 were unchanged.
