Mid-Session: Sensex falls 200 pts, Nifty near 23,700

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty50 slipped in red during the noon trading session.



At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 75069.18 down by -249.21 points or by -0.33 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23669.6 up by 10.6 points or by 0.04 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 75945.79 and intraday low of 75031.94 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23859.9 and intraday low of 23639.9



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4427.65,+3.85%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 418.60,+1.26%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2620.00,+0.81%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1786.00,+0.71%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 301.90,+0.62%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 906.15,-1.92%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 1749.50,-1.29%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2184.15,-1.13%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3088.90,-1.07%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1184.30,-1.04%), among others.



CGS index was at 78150.5 up by 872.02 points or by 1.13%. Honeywell Automation India Ltd. (Rs. 34640.00,+14.81%), Siemens Energy India Ltd. (Rs. 3608.45,+4.31%), Thermax Ltd. (Rs. 4590.60,+3.96%), Kaynes Technology India Ltd. (Rs. 3109.90,+3.61%), GE Vernova T&D India Ltd. (Rs. 4856.85,+3.50%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4367 , shares advanced were 2440 while 1693 shares declined and 234 were unchanged.
