Markets trade higher; power, capital goods, realty, metal stocks rally

Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty bounced back in green amid buying seen index heavyweights including Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.Eternal Ltd, NTPC Ltd and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. among others.



At 10:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76126.62 up by 116.92 points or by 0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23953.65 up by 39.95 points or by 0.17 %.



Sensex touched intraday high of 76180.78 and intraday low of 75797.01 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23959.05 and intraday low of 23868.5



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 218.80,+3.97%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 298.50,+2.00%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 255.15,+1.98%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 394.85,+1.39%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1834.00,+1.27%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were ITC Ltd. (Rs. 293.55,-2.73%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 765.45,-1.74%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1158.70,-0.75%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1832.00,-0.46%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2200.05,-0.43%), among others.



Metal index was at 45313.97 up by 1285.76 points or by 2.92%. National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Rs. 437.20,+5.10%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1149.30,+4.08%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 218.25,+3.71%), APL Apollo Tubes Ltd. (Rs. 1922.85,+2.50%), JSW Steel Ltd. (Rs. 1322.90,+2.24%),.



Oil&Gas index was at 27416.73 down by -138.45 points or by -0.5%. Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 277.95,-3.32%), Petronet LNG Ltd. (Rs. 277.45,-1.00%), Oil India Ltd. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 3987 , shares advanced were 2286 while 1446 shares declined and 255 were unchanged.
