Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, are expected to open gap-up today, taking early cues from GIFT Nifty, which was hovering around 25,950.50.

Positive global sentiment after the Federal Reserve cut rates by 25 bps, bringing the policy rate down to 3.5% from 3.75% may help markets gain strength. However, the Fed also indicated that no additional rate cuts are expected in the near term, keeping investors watchful.
