Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on a flat note. Trends on GIFT Nifty indicate a flat start for the broader index in India, with a gain of 5 points or 0.02 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 26,410.50 level.

Meanwhile, Asian markets were mixed on Friday as US stock futures hovered near the flatline during the Thanksgiving holiday, with the Nasdaq Composite on course to snap its seven-month winning run.

On Wall Street, US markets were shut on Thursday for Thanksgiving and will operate a shortened session on Friday.

Crude oil prices rose mildly as sentiment was swayed by the likelihood of a peace deal to end the war in Ukraine and renewed concerns about the oversupply situation.

On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 85720.38 up by 110.87 points or by 0.13 % and then NSE Nifty was at 26215.55 up by 10.25 points or by 0.04 %.

Top traded Volumes on NSE Nifty – HDFC Bank Ltd. 25536848.00, Eternal Ltd. 22604916.00, Tata Steel Ltd. 17546627.00, ICICI Bank Ltd. 15158741.00, Bajaj Finance Ltd. 12076038.00.

On NSE, total number of shares traded was 359.34 Crore and total turnover stood at Rs. 84815.42 Crore.

On NSE Future and Options, total number of contracts traded in index futures was 106878 with a total turnover of Rs. 21238.44 Crore. Along with this total number of contracts traded in stock futures were 949944 with a total turnover of Rs. 67748.20 Crore.

Total numbers of contracts for index options were 61361734 with a total turnover of Rs. 12108593.98 Crore. and total numbers of contracts for stock options were 3911922 with a total turnover of Rs. 289693.76 Crore.

The FIIs on 27/11/2025 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 17172.16 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 245.99 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 12151.66 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 479.09 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 5020.50 Crore and Rs. -233.10.
