Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty are expected to open on a weak note on March 6, following declines in GIFT Nifty, which was trading lower at around 24,605 during early signals.

On Thursday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 80015.9 up by 899.71 points or by 1.14 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24765.9 up by 285.4 points or by 1.17 %.

On the global front, most Markets in the Asia-Pacific region were trading in the red as oil prices soared amid growing disruptions to global supply due to the US-Israeli's war on Iran.

Mainland China's CSI 300 and South Korea’s Kospi were trading 0.1 per cent and 1.6 per cent down, respectively. Overnight, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.57 per cent and 1.61 per cent down, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite ended 0.26 per cent down.

The FIIs on 05/03/2026 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 20256.26 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 920.67 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 29369.68 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 531.75 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. -9113.42 Crore and Rs. 388.92
